Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega #1) by Patricia Briggs - audio book

I listened to Cry Wolf on audio book. Definitely not the same as reading a book, but I get a lot much cleaning and exercising done listening to a book than reading one.  I thoroughly enjoyed this werewolf book by Patricia Briggs.  I can't analyze the writing style as well since I only listened to it.  But I greatly enjoyed the story line and character development.  Quite an enjoyable book throughout much cleaning and many walks.

Boundless by Cynthia Hand

This third book by Cynthia Hand kept my interest.  Largely the same as the other two books I read.  Overall I loved it, but wished for more information on Christian Prescott in the end.  Perhaps another book is coming his way.  Satisfactory ending to Clara Gardner's story.

Uglies by Scott Westerfield

The world in this book by Scott Westerfield is quite believable for me.  The idea that eventually everyone undergoes extensive plastic surgery doesn't seem too wild to conceive. I really enjoyed this idea behind the book, but the actual writing of the story really turned me off. This book unlike most of these types of books coming out was not written in first person.  Which was not necessarily a bad decision, but I truly believe it was executed poorly.  I love to get lost in a book when I'm reading it.  This book I would start to get lost in it, then I'd be throw out by the awkward wording in some placing.  The problem was that so much of the book was from Tally's perspective that when I read Tally did this or that, I would just get confused.  I still plan on getting the second book in this series, but overall I was not impressed by this book. Hopefully as I get more accustomed to Scott Westerfield's writing style, I'll be able to dive into his stories completely.

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

This second book by Cynthia Hand kept my interest.  The main thing I didn't like about it was that I figured out who was going to die long before the main character put it all together.  I enjoy it when a book surprises me; Hallowed did not meet that desire.  However, I still gobbled up this book, because I really enjoy Cynthia Hand's style of writing.  I can't wait to dive into Boundless, the third book in this series.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

I went into this book with very low expectations.  It just looked like another one of the teen books that are so popular right now.  I tend to be wary of these books, because nowadays anyone can publish a book.  And I do not believe that every book is worth reading, but this one definitely was worth the journey.  Cynthia Hand creates a new world in Unearthly, but ties it into this world to make a very believable story.  The pacing of the story is done so well that I couldn't put it down. You can ask my husband, I just became obsessed with it. I love it when a book does that to me.  Almost every book I read there are parts I just have to get through to get to the good part again, and this book didn't do that to me. Although I thought the ending was really strange until I realized that it was the first book in a series. I just couldn't wait to get into the second book.  Overall I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an adventure.

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

I picked up this book from the library and loved it.  It took me longer to read than a lot of the popular books I've been reading.  However, it was completely worth the extra work.  The characters developed very well, and I would absolutely love to meet Seraphina again in another book by Rachel Hartman.
